This is my journey.
My journey with Him.
My special moments while waiting on Him.
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back
Tho’ none go with me, I will still follow Him.
The above lyrics simply encapsulated what this journey is all about.
Yes, I searched and decided to follow Him.
I want to be with Him when I die, to be, at least, the thief in the mountain, crucified beside Jesus, receiving His words: “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” I want to be assured of my salvation.
Where are you God? Who is Jesus? I have to get the answers straight from Him.
I made a decision, I aim to know Him more. To know more about Jesus, to have a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. I want to be one of those proud people who can claim God’s power in their lives, to be that person who can mightily say I am His child, because I am confident that I am.
I turned to the bible and realized that I wouldn’t need any religion, all I need is Christ. I need to know Him more, by being His child, by accepting His offer to be my personal Lord and Savior. Before I try to be a religious person, following religious doctrines, man-made rules and anything else, I must know Jesus first. To cultivate a loving relationship with Him is my greatest mission in this journey. After all, Christianity should be about Christ, not my religion, not your religion, not anything else.
Jesus said in John 1:12:
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to be become children of God.
I yearned to be one of His children. And now I am.
Yes, I am now one of those people who claims God’s promises in my life. One of those who call themselves Christians. I commit my life to Him, ready to accept His instructions, to follow His words. I am now one of those who can mightily call Him MY LORD.
Jesus died for my sins, death is the penalty for my sins, and He paid the penalty of it. What could be a more solid proof of love than that? Having someone died for you, to redeem you from your sins is nevertheless a huge proof of love.
I challenge you, dear reader, that in your journey search for Him. He rose on the third day after He was buried. Jesus is a living God. He can save us and bring us back to God. Commit your life to know Him more and more each day.
I challenge you not to stop in knowing Him. Not to stop in knowing His words, but live in it. Live in His words, in truth and spirit.
Let us commit our lives to Him, and be His child as we wait on Him.
